Enjoy the opportunity to read like a detective, looking for onomatopoeia words, words that sound like an object or action (pow, wham, oink). The tutor or student can then discuss a time they lost something important to them. Look at the words in the glossary of the book, and help the student decode any words that are not familiar to them.
