Details
Show your student something – blocks, coins, paper with a pattern. Talk about the patterns seen in nature. If possible go on a “Nature Scavenger Hunt” outside after reading the book. Take photos of nature patterns (at least five) for labeling in the journal. Introduce the vocabulary words in the book. Read and list the most interesting facts in the journal.
