Take a picture walk through the book prior to reading it. Draw three one-inch squares on a sheet of paper, and help the student draw a “chop” in the squares. They can select the one they like best. If a tutor has a wooden block and foam block, they could cut out the design from the foam block and affix it to the wooden block to create a stamp for the child. Or the tutor could have the student journal about the chop that was drawn instead.
