Details
Help your student define ‘confidence.’ Ask them what things help them feel more confident. Read the title and explain the word ‘ode.’ The description is provided in the session plan. After reading the book together, use the ‘Fresh Cut Writing Paper.’ Your student will list an object or event that made them feel confident and write five adjectives in the boxes. Then, the student can use those adjectives in a sentence to describe how they felt in that situation. If time allows, make a list of all the adjectives the author uses in the book, and check to see if the student used any of the same words in their writing.
