Celebrate Kwanzaa focuses on the African-American holiday of Kwanzaa, which falls during the festive, gift-giving season and is celebrated by families, communities, and schools throughout America.


With succinct, lively text and beautiful photographs, the book celebrates African-American culture and helps us to understand and appreciate this special holiday. Students will learn about Kwanzaa, its history and related culture. Students will learn about rain sticks, how they are used in the Kwanzaa celebration and have the opportunity make their own rain stick. Vocabulary associated with the holiday is introduced and the 7 principles of Kwanzaa are disclosed in a coloring sheet.
